Idaho Milk Products

Located in Jerome, Idaho, Idaho Milk Products is a privately held international milk processing leader supplying Milk Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Concentrate, Milk Permeate and Cream to global food and nutrition companies. Owned by three American dairies, Idaho Milk Products has the world’s most efficient farm-to-finished product operation resulting in the freshest and highest quality dairy ingredients available. Idaho Milk Products operates the largest dedicated Milk Protein Concentrate and Milk Protein Isolate processing plant in the world, processing 40 million pounds (18 metric tons) of IdaProTM MPC and MPI per year. Jerome Cheese

Each waking day, Agropur cooperative responds to the call of some 3,345 dairy farmers who rely on this organization, which they jointly own, to enhance the fruit of their labor. More than 5.9 billion litres of milk are processed annually in 39 plants spread throughout North America.

Generating nearly $6.0 billion in sales, the resulting products grace the tables of thousands of consumers from coast to coast. But before these products reach their tables, more than 8,000 employees and many contract agents assigned to milk collection and distribution combine their efforts and expertise to ensure that the final product meets all expectations.

The Jerome Idaho Plant is a large part of the Agropur family with the following activity.

  • – 90+ truckloads of raw milk received
  • – 15+ truckloads of cheese shipped
  • – 7+ truckloads of whey powder shipped all over U.S. and overseas.
  • – An average of 3 loads of cream shipped to butter and ice cream plants across the United States.
  • – Over 400,000 gal. (about 3,400,000 lbs.) of useable water is produced.
  • – 5,200,000 lbs. of milk is processed into 520,000 lbs. of cheese.


Darigold

Darigold produces the equivalent of two million gallons of milk per day and distributes a full line of dairy-based products for wholesale, retail, grocery, foodservice, commodities and specialty markets. Consumer products that Darigold produces include milk, half-and-half, whipping cream, buttermilk, cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream and butter. The company also produces cheese, milk powder and whey products for institutions, food brokers and food processing companies. These ingredient customers range from small food processors to very large multi-national food companies with household names. Darigold, Inc. operates 12 processing plants throughout the Northwest to serve its dairy farm families.

Jerome, Idaho milk & cheese processors include Jerome Cheese, Idaho Milk Products, Darigold, and Commercial Creamery. They produce whey, milk protein powders, concentrated filtrated milk, milk lactose permeate powder and or cream for use in nutritional supplements, cheese, yogurt and other dairy based foods.

Commercial Creamery
