Projects in the City of Jerome
Nelson-Jameson
A 30,000sq ft distribution warehouse announced in December 2019 that will be built in the Northside Subdivision on Yakima near Idaho Milk Products. Nelson-Jameson provides product for the dairy industry and milk and cheese processing entities. They have purchased approximately 19 acres of land and will begin construction of their facility in mid-2021.
The Scoular Company
As was previously announced, is building a facility also in the Northside Subdivision to process fish food from Barley stock. They are presently excavating the site and expect construction completion late spring of 2021.▪ Project Moving Milk and Idaho Milk Transport – are milk haulers for two of our Milk Processing Plants. Each company will be building new facilities on the south end of Jerome City
Project West
A company that makes its own flexible pipe for the purpose of providing potable water to livestock in remote areas, purchased the old Marshall’s building and will continue to grow and change the looks of the building.
Fiber Care Baths
A California based company that makes fiberglass and acrylic products for tub showers, tubs, shower stalls, walk-in baths, and more, opened its Jerome Factory early in 2020. The facility is located on east end of North Frontage Rd. They currently have 50 employees but have expansion plans that will significantly grow their space and the number of employees.
Family Health Services – is building a new clinic on Nez Perce behind Farmers National Bank that will nearly double their office space and create a significant increase
Projects in Jerome County
True West Beef
A meat processing company that will build a facility east of U.S. 93, north of 100 N. and South of 200 N. They are presently excavating and expect to complete construction in 2022. They expect to employ nearly 400 employees. True West Beef is a partnership between Agri Beef based in Boise, Idaho and cattle growers.
True West Beef has an economic multiplier of 3.71 which means that there could be another 1,000 jobs due to ancillary businesses that will come because of True West Beef’s presence and its supply chain. This will impact employee recruitment, housing, and more.
Northbridge Junction
A new 80-acre development east of the Flying J Truck Stop that will have mixed use industrial, commercial, and more. The Company will soon break ground on an approximate 80,000 sq ft industrial building on the southern portion of the property.
University of Idaho CAFÉ – Discovery Center Complex
Will be built on a 6-acre parcel that they own just east of the FedEx facility in the Crossroads Point Business Center. The Center coincide with the CAFÉ 2,000 Cow Research Dairy to be located in Rupert and the Food Innovation Center which may be built on CSI’s campus or another more suitable location. The Discovery Complex will tell the story of Agriculture in Southern Idaho and will be somewhat similar to the Sage facility in Boardman, Oregon — https://visitsage.com/
North Canyon Medical Center
Headquartered in Gooding has opened a facility in Jerome on the first floor of the Heritage Building (modeled after the old North Side Inn in downtown Jerome was demolished in about 1968). This building is directly west of the Comfort Inn & Suites in the Crossroads Point Business Center. They currently offer quick care services and pediatric care. Embrace Life Recovery Center expects to occupy the second and third floors of this same building. The remaining portion of this building is still under construction.
Bish’s RV
Another project underway at Crossroads Point Business Center is Bish’s RV. The building and parking area rises above the Peterbuilt and Freightliner buildings and will be a showcase for the dealership across Southern Idaho.
