New Shoshone Falls overlook opens in Jerome

A new 40-by-20-foot overlook is giving visitors safe access to an area of the Snake River Canyon that was out of reach for most people for years.
Kathie Womack, visiting from Illinois and staying with family in Gooding, said seeing the park for the first time was one of the highlights of her trip.
“Looking down at the water and the falls here, the beautiful falls, that, it took my breath away when I first walked up here and looked,” Womack said.
